Hi there! I’m Tanner Spenceley, a brand and marketing communications professional based just outside Boston, Massachusetts. I specialize in creating thoughtful, human-centered campaigns that elevate organizational messaging, drive engagement, and support fundraising and advocacy initiatives.

Since graduating magna cum laude from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a degree in Public Relations (and minors in Strategic Management and Psychology), I have built my career bridging agency and nonprofit communications. I began in a fast-paced digital marketing agency, where I progressed from Account Coordinator to Client Marketing Manager. In that role, I led multi-channel campaigns for several clients, managed project teams, and delivered measurable results—including growing email open rates by 26% year over year and launching a text-based VIP program from the ground up.

Today, I serve as Brand and Marketing Communications Manager at FamilyAid, where I create integrated campaigns that highlight the experiences of children and parents experiencing homelessness. I manage messaging across social media, email, web, and print, and develop advocacy and fundraising collateral that supports legislative and public awareness initiatives.

Outside of my professional work, I run Dune & Petal, a made-to-order embroidery shop. This creative outlet allows me to experiment with brand storytelling, design, and customer experience in a hands-on way.

I believe strong communications are about both strategy and heart — and I hope this site gives you a sense of both. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and say hello!
